What else the RRB form checks
- No photo to upload: the form takes a live photo with your webcam or front camera. Wear dark, not white, clothes.
- Sign in black ink on white paper, in running handwriting, not in block or capital letters.
- A grey or coloured background, a thumb impression instead of a signature, or a blank picture is refused.
- The 2025 ALP notice still had an uploaded photo (50 to 150 KB); the live photo started with CEN 02/2025.
RRB photo size: questions
What is the RRB signature size?
30 KB to 49 KB, JPG, at least 140 × 60 pixels, in the current ALP, NTPC and Group D notices. This page makes 350 × 200, the shape of the 35 × 20 mm box on the form.
Why is 30 KB the minimum?
The RRB form refuses a signature under 30 KB. A small clean signature is often only a few KB, so the tool adds blank data inside the file to reach 30 KB and tells you it did. The picture does not change.
Where do I upload my RRB photo?
You do not. Current RRB forms capture a live photo. If it does not match, the form asks for a document signed by a gazetted officer instead.
