What else the NEET UG form checks
- White background. The photo must be taken after 1 January 2026, and you paste the same photo on your documents later.
- Your face should fill about 80% of the photo, with both ears showing and no mask.
- A live photo is also taken with your webcam or phone camera during the form; that one is not uploaded from here.
- Glasses only if you wear them all the time. Polaroid and computer-made photos are refused.
- The 2026 bulletin no longer asks for a postcard-size photo upload; keep a few printed copies instead.
NEET UG photo size: questions
What is the NEET photo size in KB?
Between 10 KB and 200 KB, as a JPG with a white background, in the NEET UG 2026 bulletin. The signature is 10 KB to 100 KB.
What is the NEET photo size in pixels?
The 2026 bulletin does not give pixels, only KB. Use a normal passport-size photo; this page keeps its shape and only brings the file inside the KB limits.
Why does the form refuse a file that is too small?
NTA forms set a smallest size as well as a largest one, 10 KB for both the photo and the signature. A heavily squeezed picture under 10 KB is refused. The tool keeps the file between the two limits and shows the exact size first.
Do I still need a postcard-size photo?
Not as an upload in 2026. The bulletin asks you to keep printed copies of the same photo for your documents. NEET 2025 did ask for a postcard upload, so check the bulletin for your year.
