What else the JEE Main form checks
- The photo must be in colour, recent and passport size, on a white background.
- Your face should fill about 80% of the photo, with both ears showing and no mask.

What is the JEE Main photo size?
Between 10 KB and 200 KB, a colour JPG on a white background, in the 2026 bulletin. The signature is 10 KB to 100 KB. No pixel size is given.
Why does the form refuse a file that is too small?
NTA forms set a smallest size as well as a largest one, 10 KB for both the photo and the signature. A heavily squeezed picture under 10 KB is refused. The tool keeps the file between the two limits and shows the exact size first.
Will the 2027 rules be the same?
The 2027 bulletin was not out when this page was checked. The size has stayed the same for several years, but read the new bulletin when it comes and change the boxes if it differs.
