We do not print the Free plan's numbers because they are set per plan and can change. When you reach a limit, the tool tells you at that moment and keeps everything you prepared.

How the Free allowance counts

The Free plan counts requests by calendar month in UTC. Everything you sent this month counts, even a request you later deleted, and the count starts again at 00:00 on the 1st. That is easier to plan around than a rolling 30 days, where each request comes back on a different day.

The Free plan has a limited allowance of requests each calendar month, and paid Pro and Team plans. Pro removes the limits.

What happens at the limit

Nothing is lost. If you press Send after this month's free requests are used, the request you prepared stays exactly as it is, and the tool shows you what Pro allows. The same happens if you add one person too many to a request. You can wait for the 1st, or see the plans.

Free tiers elsewhere, at a glance

Other services publish their free numbers: Adobe's online tool gives 2 requests every 30 days, Dropbox Sign and SignWell 3 a month, Zoho Sign 5. We put every one of them, read on each service's own page, on one table: free electronic signature software compared.

The signer's side is always free

Whoever you send to never pays, never makes an account and never installs anything. They read the document, press Start, fill in their fields and press Finish. If they cannot sign, they can decline and say why, and you see the reason.

Questions

Request a signature free: common questions

How can I request a signature for free?

Upload the document above, add the signer's name and email, place the signature field and send. You need a free KovaPDF account to send; the signer does not.

How many free signature requests do I get?

The Free plan has a limited allowance each calendar month. We do not publish the number because it can change; the tool shows you when you reach it. Pro removes the limit.

Are templates and bulk send free?

Yes, both work on the Free plan. Bulk send and public signing links count against the monthly allowance like any other request.

Do I get a certificate of completion on Free?

Yes. Every finished request gets the certificate and the trusted timestamp seal, on every plan.

Does the signer need to pay or sign up?

No, never.
