Why send it for signature instead of emailing the PDF?
How to bulk send for signature
- Make a template. Upload the document, add a role for each person who signs (for example Employee), place their fields, and save it as a template instead of sending it.
- Download the CSV header. Open the template's Bulk send. It shows the exact columns the list needs and a button to download them as a CSV.
- Fill in one row per request. In any spreadsheet, add a name and an email for each role on every row, plus any text fields the template lets the list fill in. Save as CSV, under 1 MB.
- Check and send. Upload or paste the list. Every row is checked first: missing or invalid addresses, the same address twice in one row, a row that repeats an earlier one. Then send, and each row's result is listed with a link to its request.
The CSV format
The header row comes from your template, so the safest way is to download it from Bulk send. It follows one pattern:
- Two columns per role:
<Role> nameand<Role> email. A template with a Parent role needs Parent name and Parent email. - One column per text field you gave a label, named exactly as the label. A field labelled Child name becomes a Child name column, and whatever you write there is filled in before the request goes out.
- With a single role, plain name and email columns are understood too.
A three-row example for a sports club consent form:
| Parent name | Parent email | Child name |
|---|---|---|
| Maria Lopez | maria@example.com | Sofia Lopez |
| James Carter | j.carter@example.com | Ethan Carter |
| Aisha Khan | aisha.khan@example.com | Zara Khan |

Which plan has bulk send
Bulk send works on the Free plan, within its limited allowance of requests each calendar month: every row is one request. Before anything is sent, the tool shows how many rows fit in what is left. On Free, a list that does not fit is not sent in part; you see it first and decide. Pro removes the limits. The Free plan has a limited allowance of requests each calendar month, and paid Pro and Team plans. Pro removes the limits.
Bulk send or a signing link?
Bulk send is for a list you already have. If you do not know who will sign yet (new members, event sign-ups, walk-in customers), a signing link with a QR code lets each person start their own request. Our post on signature templates and bulk sending compares the two.
Bulk send for signature: common questions
How do I bulk send a document for signature?
Save the document as a template with a role for each signer, download the CSV header from Bulk send, fill in one row per request, upload it and send. Each row becomes its own request.
Is bulk send free?
Yes, on KovaPDF's Free plan, within the monthly allowance: every row counts as one request. Pro removes the limits.
What columns does the CSV need?
A name and an email column for each role, such as Employee name and Employee email, plus a column for each labelled text field you want the list to fill in.
Is there a Docusign bulk send alternative?
KovaPDF's bulk send does the same job: one template, one list, one request per row, each tracked separately.
What if one row has a typo in the email?
Every row is checked before sending. A row with a missing or invalid address is marked so you can fix it first.
