Frequently asked questions about Signature Resize

Why is my signature too small for a 10 KB minimum?

A clean signature is a few strokes on white, so it can be only about 3 KB even at the best quality. The tool reaches the minimum by adding blank data inside the JPEG, and tells you. The signature itself is unchanged, and it opens like any JPG.

My signature photo has a grey background. Does that matter?

The tool whitens the paper and darkens the ink, which also makes the file smaller. Background is set to White; choose White, fully for a grey or shadowed page, or Original to keep the picture as it is.

What size does a bank exam signature need?

The published bank-exam guidelines we read ask for a signature of 140 × 60 pixels, 10 to 20 KB, in JPG. Forms change every year, so check yours. To make one, type 140 in Width and 60 in Height here; 10 to 20 KB is already set.

Will the edges of my signature be cut off?

No. The picture is trimmed to the ink with a small margin, and if the shape does not match the size asked for, white is added at the sides instead of stretching or cropping the signature.

Is my signature uploaded anywhere?

No. The picture is resized on your device and never sent to us. Only the fact that a task ran is counted.

Can I do a photo and a signature together?

Each run uses one set of settings. Do the photo first with Picture set to Photo, then choose Signature, type the signature's size and add the signature. Both stay on your device.

Is it free?

Do I need to create an account?
