Everything EPUB to PDF can do
Turn an EPUB e-book into a PDF you can print, send or read on any device, laid out the way the book was made.
The book as it was made
- The fonts that come inside the book are used, not a stand in
- Pictures, tables, poems and footnotes keep their place
- Each chapter starts on a new page, as in a printed book
- Links inside the book still jump to the right page
Easy to find your way
- The book's table of contents becomes bookmarks in the PDF
- Chapters and their sections are nested the way the book lists them
- Title and author are written into the PDF's details
- Page numbers at the foot of each page, if you want them
Your page
- A5 or 6 × 9 in for a book, A4 or Letter for printing
- Smaller, normal or larger text
- Small, normal or wide margins
- The cover as the first page, or straight to the text
Books it opens
- EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 books
- Books with embedded fonts made readable for the layout
- Books in any language, including right to left scripts
- A clear message for a book locked with DRM

Frequently asked questions about EPUB to PDF
How do I convert an EPUB to PDF?
Choose your .epub file, pick the page size, text size and margins, and press Convert to PDF. The book is laid out on our server with its own fonts and pictures, every chapter starts on a new page, and you download one PDF.
Will the PDF look like the book?
Yes, as far as a fixed page can. The book's own styles, fonts and pictures are used. What changes is that an e-book reflows to fit any screen, while a PDF has fixed pages, so the text is set on the page size you choose.
Do I keep the chapters and the table of contents?
Yes. Every chapter begins on a new page, and the book's own table of contents becomes the PDF's bookmarks, nested the way the book lists them, so you can jump to any chapter. Links inside the book keep working too.
Which page size should I choose?
A5 or 6 × 9 in if you will read the PDF on a tablet or phone, or print it as a book. A4 or Letter if you will print it at home or at work. A larger text size makes the book easier to read and gives it more pages.
Why can't my book be converted?
Most often because the shop that sold it locked it with DRM (copy protection). A locked book cannot be read by any converter, and we tell you so instead of making an empty PDF. Books without DRM, such as many free and public domain books and books you made yourself, convert fine.
Can I convert a MOBI or AZW book?
Not here. This tool opens EPUB books only. Many shops and apps let you download or export a book as EPUB; that file works.
Can I convert an EPUB on my phone?
Yes. The page works in the browser on iPhone and Android: choose the book from your files, and the PDF downloads to your phone. Nothing needs to be installed.
Can I search and copy the text in the PDF?
Yes. The words are real text, not pictures of pages, so you can search the book, select a passage and copy it.
Is it free?
Yes. Every tool works without paying and without an account. Files can be up to 200 pages and 50 MB, and a run that fails costs you nothing. Pro removes the limits.
Do I need to create an account?
No. All tools work without signing in. An account raises your allowance and lets you see what you have processed.
What happens to my file?
Your file stays on our server only for a short time while it is processed, then it is deleted. It is sent over an encrypted connection. We keep a record that the tool was used, but not the file name or what is in the file.
